BEECH BOTTOM, WV (AP) — Forklifts, a machine shop and other equipment at a former steel plant property in Beech Bottom will be sold at auction.

The auction of the old Wheeling Corrugating equipment will be held Tuesday at the Holiday Inn in Weirton.

The Business Development Corp. of the Northern Panhandle acquired the property last November. Executive director Pat Ford tells The Intelligencer and Wheeling News Register that the buildings won't be up for auction. However, offers will be considered.

The buildings and interior equipment are owned by the corporation's co-investor, Hackman Capital of Los Angeles.

Hackman Capital CEO Michael Hackman says the auction is part of a plan to redevelop the site and adapt it to multiple uses.
