Huntington fire crews responded to a house fire at Eighth avenue and 25th street around 11 p.m. Monday.
They say a woman was watching television and saw smoke coming from the back of her house. She ran out and called 911.
Firefighters put the fire out quickly. The woman was taken to an ambulance to be checked out.
The Fire Marshal says the fire was contained to a back room of the house and did not appear to be suspicious. The house suffered heavy smoke and water damage.
