A Kentucky woman has pleaded guilty to misusing a doctor's registration number to dispense and acquire hydrocodone and Xanax.

According to the Jan. 29 single-count information, Myra Miller and other individuals used Williamson Dr. William Ryckman's U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration registration number to obtain and dispense the controlled substances.

The former Mingo County physician pleaded guilty Dec. 19 to conspiracy to misuse a DEA number to dispense controlled substances.

According to court documents, Ryckman, 66, allowed multiple controlled substances to be prescribed under his DEA number from Feb. 17-19, 2010, to individuals who were not seen by a physician.

According to the documents, while Ryckman was gone from his Mingo County office, patients who paid a cash fee were directed to a Mingo County pharmacy where they received controlled substance medications.

On Feb. 17, 2010, known individuals at Ryckman's office faxed several blank "doctors lists" to his Pennsylvania residence.

The stipulation of facts stated Ryckman signed the lists and faxed them back to the known individuals.  

He was sentenced last year to six months in prison.

The information says this took place from Feb. 17, 2010, to Feb. 19, 2010.

According to the Associated Press, Miller worked as an office manger of the Mountain Medical Care Center, which has been closed.

Miller appeared before U.S. District Judge John T. Copenhaver March 19, where she was released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.

Her sentencing is set for 1:30 p.m. June 18.
