BIDWELL, OH -

A high school student was taken into custody after school officials told law enforcement he brought a pellet gun to school.

Deputies with the Gallia County Sheriff's Office told 13News they were called to River Valley High School Wednesday morning. Officers said one of the students had a "realistic looking hand gun" on school property which later was found to be a pellet gun.

School officials already had the student removed from the classroom when deputies arrived.

No injuries were reported.
