A man who was brought from Washington State to face charges in a murder in West Virginia was in court on Friday.

Chad Renzelman, 32, waived his preliminary hearing. He's been charged with first degree murder and delivery of a controlled substance in the death of Renee Honaker.

Renzelman was a chemist at a nuclear power plant before he got into trouble in Roane County.

Investigators said Renzelman sent 8 'hits' of LSD, or acid, to Todd Honaker last month.

Honaker and his wife, Renee Honaker, took the drugs on March 1.

Renee went into violent convulsions after taking two hits of acid. She died within hours of taking the drugs.

Now, both men could spend the rest of their lives in prison. Under the law, investigators said each man is equally responsible for her death; Todd did not try to help her or call 911, and Renzelman supplied the drugs that killed her, they said.
