    A tractor trailer is blocking part of Route 2. The road is closed until further notice. Drivers heading in both direction are being asked to use the Big Ben Bowen Highway connector by Target to get around.

The Huntington Museum of Art will welcome painter and printmaker Tom Nakashima as a Walter
Gropius Master Artist in April.

Nakashima will speak about his work during a free public presentation at 7 p.m. Thursday, April
4. Admission is free. Nakashima will present a three-day workshop at HMA titled "Painting and a
Philosophy of Life" from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 5-7, 2013. For workshop fee information, call 304-529-2701. An exhibition of work by Nakashima continues through April 28.

After three years of service in the 101st Airborne, Nakashima returned to his hometown of Dubuque, Iowa, where he received a bachelor's degree from Loras College in 1965. He earned MA and MFA degrees from the University of Notre Dame in 1966 and 1967, respectively. His work has appeared in or been reviewed by hundreds of international publications. Nakashima has received numerous awards and fellowships over the course of his impressive career.
