A woman's trash burning spawned a brush fire that spread over 100 acres in Lincoln County.
The call came in around 3 p.m. Tuesday.
The Division of Forestry and Morrisvale Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire on Brushy Fork Road in Alkol Tuesday afternoon.
Lorene Price told 13NEWS she was burning cardboard boxes and trash when the wind picked up the flames and spread it to the woods behind her home.
The fire melted her siding and broke windows in the back of her home.
Fire officials were at the bottom of the hill keeping the fire away from homes.
The fire in under control.
No injuries were reported.
