Police are searching for a man responsible for an early morning bank robbery in Kanawha City.

At 9:20 Thursday morning, a man walked into the Fifth Third bank on MacCorkle Avenue, pulled out a gun and demanded cash. He was able to escape with an unknown amount of money.

Surveillance images show a man in his 40's, with brown hair and a mustache, standing 5'8" to 5'11", thin to medium in build, wearing black shoes and pants, along with a gray hooded sweatshirt with a blue logo. The suspect is wearing dark sunglasses and a baseball cap.

This is the second time in as many years this branch has been robbed.

Charleston Police detectives are expected to release further details about the investigation later in the day.
