Huntington in Bloom to help beautify neighborhoods

Posted: Updated:

People got together to make Huntington more beautiful.

Community leaders and the public met at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena to get the Huntington in Bloom project rolling Monday evening.

The event is part of a national movement to spruce up communities and help clean up neighborhoods.

Volunteers signed up to help out in different areas around town.

Some say they just want to help make their hometown a nicer place.

"I want to see Huntington thrive and become as beautiful as it can be so I figure anyone can do a little bit and do their part, everyone can help," Bethany Williams said.

The project is open to the public for volunteers.
