CARTER COUNTY, Ky. -

Tips led Carter County Sheriff's deputies to a home they say contained about 50 one-step meth labs often called Shake-n-Bake.

In addition to the meth labs, investigators found meth-making materials including batteries, propane tanks and coffee filters in the Williams Creek Road home.

Carter County Sheriff's Deputy Todd Collier said receipts discovered at the scene led investigators to believe meth making was conducted at the home for several months.

Local salon owner Jenny Thompson was glad to hear the progress deputies were making.

"My sister has been involved in it, and it has took over her whole life," says Ms. Thompson. "It's changed the town. It's taken over this town. Nobody acts the same anymore. It makes you wonder about anybody who walks through a door."

Four patrons of the Vogue Salon in Grayson located near the meth house said everyone in the room was touched by a story of addiction.  They said with a discovery like this meth house means someone is buying it.

Anyone with information on this investigation is asked to call the Carter County Sheriff's immediately, at 606-474-5616.
