Organization officials announced the group has grown to nine counties thanks to the recent inclusion of Hardy and Grant counties. The consortium of contiguous counties works to market the use of regional world class hardwood resource sand is dedicated to promoting West Virginia hardwoods to local sawmills and manufacturing sites for business in domestic and foreign export markets.

West Virginia exports $85 million annually in timber and lumber for furniture, housing, engineered wood products and other products such as cabinets.
