A lot of men put the most uncomfortable thing they could on their feet Tuesday.
The group of men walked around Marshall University's campus in Huntington for the 'Walk A Mile In Her Shoes' event. It was sponsored by the Women's Center and CONTACT Rape Crisis Center.
The event was organized as part of the International Men's March to Stop Rape. A participant said he was proud to pound the pavement in a pair of pumps. "It's very important to do this, and I'm really glad that more and more, every year, there seems to be this growing awareness of sexual violence that happens not only on campus, but in our nation and world wide," said Marcus Fioravante, a student at Marshall University.
The walk was part of Sexual Assault Awareness month.
