    A man was shot in the hand during a robbery on Charleston's east end on July 22 at about 10:30 a.m.

The United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of West Virginia, with several federal, state and local agency sponsors hosted more than 1,000 area students for a day of learning and fun for the 14th Annual Operation Reach Out Community Fair.

Students gathered at the state Capitol on Thursday, April 25 to learn about Internet safety, the dangers of illegal drugs and bullying prevention. 

Games and other activities were provided for children that attended.

The event took place on the North Plaza at the State Capitol Complex from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
