One man was arrested for drug possession at an hotel in Chapmanville, Logan County, W.V.

According to the Logan County Sheriff's Department, Chapmanville Police contacted them about activity at the Chapmanville Best Western Logan Inn Friday, April 26.

Deputies arrived with a K-9, who "indicated" on a room in the inn. Deputies searched the room and found 24 Lortabs, 10 hydrocodone, 9 Roxicodone, 3.5 valiums, two grams of marijuana, and $1,582 cash.

There were three people in the room, Michael Ray Fortuna, Billy Lawrence, and Deena Gore.  The room was registered under Fortuna.

Fortuna admitted to having thrown a bag with most of the pills under the small refrigerator in the room before opening the door to let officers in.

Police arrested Michael Ray Fortuna and charged him with possession with intent to deliver.

Logan County Sheriff's deputies are investigating.
