Glenville State College's Jazz Band concert is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m. April 30 in the GSC Fine Arts Center Auditorium.

"The concert will feature various styles of music for the big band. There will be some classic swing music, a couple bebop standards, some funk, some jazz rock, and even a new Beach Boys tune that came out last summer," said David Lewis, jazz band director and assistant professor of music education. "As always, there will be lots of student soloists. I'm proud of how the group has improved over the last few years," said Lewis.

The concert is free and open to the public. For information, contact the Fine Arts Department at 304-462-6340.
