    A man was shot in the hand during a robbery on Charleston's east end on July 22 at about 10:30 a.m.

A burglary in progress call came into 911 dispatchers around 5 Tuesday evening in Pinch.

The homeowner, who lives in the 100 block of Pinch Ridge Road told 13NEWS she came home and noticed her front door was busted in.

Kanawha County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched, and inspected the home.  No one was inside, but items were missing.

The homeowner said a jewelry box with sentimental items inside was taken.  She also said muddy footprints were tracked throughout the home.  

There are no suspects in the case at this point, but deputies are investigating.
