Arrest made in Pinch concession stand break-ins

Posted: Updated:

Mike Hardway, of Pinch, is charged with breaking and entering after Kanawha County Deputies say he admitted to breaking into the Pinch Elementary little league concession stand.

According to the criminal complaint, Hardway was seen walking near Summit Park, in Pinch, with a rifle.

A deputy stopped him and detained him, and learned Hardway had two misdemeanor warrants.  One was for transferring and possessing receiving stolen property, the other for destruction of property.

According to the complaint, Hardway got away with food and cash in an envelope from the concession stand.

Two other stands were broken into in recent days, Chambers Softball Field on Saturday and Central Field on Sunday.

Hardway denied involvement in those break-ins, but told deputies that at least one other suspect was.

Deputies are investigating.
