UPDATE:

A man accused of breaking into a woman's home and beating her pleaded guilty in court today.

Aaron Chapman pleaded guilty to malicious wounding and robbery.

According to police, Chapman broken into two homes and injured two people, including an elderly woman.

Aaron Chapman, of Pinch, is now facing three more charges stemming from an incident that occurred in jail.  

In late March, Chapman was charged with two counts of nighttime burglary, one count of first-degree robbery and one count of attempted first-degree robbery in connection with two home invasions in Pinch.  

One of those home invasions left a 74-year-old woman beaten and left alone in her home.   Family members found her 13 hours after the initial beating.  

According to the criminal complaint, Chapman and two other inmates beat a forth inmate inside South Central Regional Jail on April 16.  

The victim, Justin Adkinson, told police Chapman slammed his head against the wall, punched him four times in the stomach, kicked him in the groin area, and threw him to the ground and began kicking him.

Adkinson, according to the complaint, received a black eye, his right ear was nearly torn off, and had cuts on his arms, hands and face.

Chapman is charged with battery, conspiracy, and assault.
