Kanawha County Circuit Court Judge Duke Bloom denied a request for an injunction against a high school principal on Monday.

George Washington High School senior Katelyn Campbell asked for an injunction against Principal George Aulenbacher in April.  Campbell claims Aulenbacher threatened to call the college where she had been accepted after she spoke out to the media about a controversial pro-abstinence speaker.

"Ms. Campbell has failed to prove that Mr. Aulenbacher threatened her," the order read. "Even if the Court accepts that Mr. Aulenbacher threatened Ms. Campbell, which it does not, the Court concludes that Ms. Campbell has still failed to demonstrate that she would suffer irreparable harm."

Campbell, who is currently in New York City, said she learned about the decision early Monday afternoon.

"I don't think it's an overall loss," Campbell said. "It's not what I would have liked to happen, but I still have miles to go."

The senior said she hopes her story raises awareness about the need for comprehensive sexual education in public schools.
