A man and a woman are behind bars this evening after state police say they were cooking meth.

The Kentucky State Police in Ashland charged Melissa B. Gollihue, 40, of Grayson, and William D. Lawson, 34, of Sandy Hook, with manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance, according to a recent release.

On Monday, officers received a tip there was a meth lab at a home at Karen Circle in Grayson. After a search of the home, officers found a working meth lab and several ingredients for making meth.

During the search, Trooper Joey Vorbeck was exposed to the fumes from the lab and had to be taken to King's Daughters' Medical Center. Vorbeck was treated and released.

Gollihue and Lawson remain in the Boyd County Detention Center.
