Dozens of people showed up in Charleston on Tuesday for an opportunity to learn about a government job.

The West Virginia Division of Personnel hosted a Government Career Fair at the Culture Center. It was aimed at providing job seekers with information on employment opportunities.

The state is looking for people to work in nursing, social services, engineering and corrections. For those people who have been out of work a long time it was another opportunity to learn what it takes to work for the state. "I've been looking for a job for about a year now, and I thought this would be a good opportunity," said Jeannie Taylor from Scott Depot in Putnam County.

If you missed Tuesday's job fair, you can still get information through the Division of Personnel's website.
