UPDATE:

Officials now know what caused a water leak at Thomas Hospital in South Charleston on May 8.

According to officials with the hospital a vandal stole the caps off a water pipe valve.

The vice president of Thomas Hospital says that is the cause of 4 inches of water accumulating in the lobby of the hospital's clinical pavilion.
