SOUTH POINT, Oh. -

Five people are now behind bars after officers find various drugs, paraphernalia and cash during a Wednesday night drug bust.

Investigators and deputies in Lawrence County executed a search warrant at a home on Township Road 1025 in South Point, Oh., at 9 p.m., according to a recent news release from Prosecuting Attorney Brigham Anderson.

Heroin, cocaine, digital scales, hypodermic syringes, drug paraphernalia, more than $2,800 in cash, two guns and ammunition were found during the search.

Investigators say Asim McCoy, 32, of Huntington, Jerome Yancey, 32, of Huntington, Joseph Waley, 22, of Ironton, Benjamin Willis, 32, of South Point, and Amee Pyles, 28, of South Point are all facing various charges from drug trafficking, drug possession, drug abuse and active warrants.

Investigators with the Lawrence Drug and Major Crimes Task obtained the warrant after an ongoing investigation of drug deals by the people living in the home.

The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office was also aided in the bust. All of the drugs taken from the home are at the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation Crime Lab for analysis and exact weight.

The five are currently in the Lawrence County Jail.
