Two people arrested for meth in Boone County

Two people are in jail on meth charges in Boone County.

According to police, 27-year old Karen Runion and 35-year old Robert Stamper were arrested Saturday afternoon of May 11.

Acting on a anonymous tip, Boone County Sheriff's deputies went to Runion's residence in Joe's Creek, which is in the area of Comfort.

When the deputies arrived, they discovered Stamper hiding inside the closet of a trailer, cooking Meth.

Police say Stamper had active warrants from both Boone and Kanawha counties on meth related charges.

According to police, two children under five years of age were removed from the house and were placed in child protection services.

Runion is charged with operating a clandestine laboratory, two counts of exposing children to methamphetamine manufacturing process, conspiracy, and purchasing pseudoephedrine with intent to manufacture Meth.

Stamper is charged with operating a clandestine laboratory, conspiracy, two counts of exposing children to the manufacturing of Meth, as well as the outstanding warrants on Meth related charges in Boone and Kanawha County.

Both are being held in the Southwestern Regional Jail.

Stamper's bail is $50,000, while Runion's bail is $12,000.
