Ashland man facing heroin trafficking charges

A Kentucky man is facing felony charges after his arrest early Tuesday morning.

Matthew Farris, 29, of Ashland is being charged with trafficking a controlled substance, heroin.

Farris also faces 3rd degree charges for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a news release from the Ashland Police Department. 

Officers also seized more than $700 cash from Farris.

Farris was taken to the Boyd County Detention Center.
