Kanawha County deputies are searching for a suspect after a woman was robbed in her home Saturday afternoon.

Ruby Hackney says a man came to her Clendenin home around 1:30 p.m. and asked to inspect her roof.

He claimed that he had helped install her roof and was there to check for leaks. When she let him in, the person grabbed her arm and demanded cash.

Ruby was able to chase the man out of her home with a handgun. The suspect, described as a white male in his twenties, got away with about one hundred dollars in cash and medication.

Hackney was treated at her home by paramedics.

This is the second time she has been robbed in her home.
