A Ripley, WV, native is a reality show star after filming the newest redneck TV sensation.

Lindsey Donohoe, Redneck Island Season 3 cast member, flew to Mexico to film the show and is the only West Virginia resident to participate on the show which airs on CMT.

Donohoe says getting to represent her state was an honor.

"Being the only West Virginian on this season, I was considered the Yankee of the group. The other contestants were more southern. I love the outdoors, hunting and fishing and I am proud to be from WV and considered a "redneck" especially if that means being able to hunt for my food or raise my own veggies.  I take no offense to being a redneck and embrace my lifestyle," Donohoe said.

Donohoe works at Juvenile Day Report Center in Mason County as a case manager.

Donohoe's family and friends will be there to help her celebrate the season premiere June 5 at Pancho's in Point Pleasant.

Everyone is invited to attend the event kicking off at 9 p.m. with live music.
