Cabell Midland junior pitcher Seth Kinker shutdown one of the hottest teams in the state on Friday night.

Kinker threw a complete game shutout vs. Beckley as the Cabell Midland advanced the Class AAA state championship game with a 5-0 win.

Midland scored three quick runs in the second inning and that's all Kinker would need.

He threw a two-hitter and struck out eight Flying Eagles.

The Knights now face Hedgesville on Saturday in the Class AAA state title game around 6 p.m.
