Charleston Catholic took a 7-2 lead in the final two innings, but the lead wouldn't last.
Heading into the final inning, Catholic's lead was cut to four at 9-5.
That's when Magnolia woke up.
The Blue Eagles added three runs to cut the lead to 9-8, but that's was a close as they got.
With a runner at second with two outs, Magnolia's Chandler Sapp lined out to shortstop ending Magnolia's comeback and the game.
Catholic escaped with a 9-8 win, and the 2013 WVSSAC Class A State Championship.
