GreenWood Inc., an integrated operations, maintenance and construction solutions provider, was recently awarded a contract to provide Kureha PGA LLC with total maintenance services at its high-performance polyglycolic acid polymer production facility in Kanawha County. Capital project work will also be performed by GreenWood to support Kureha's plant, which currently occupies 3.5 acres on the DuPont site at Belle.

Kureha produces a polymer marketed under the trade name Kuredex PGA with properties including high strength, biodegradability and low gas permeability.  By co-locating on the Belle site, Kureha is able to obtain its primary feedstock, glycolic acid, from DuPont. Kureha PGA LLC is a subsidiary of Kureha America Inc., the North American subsidiary of Kureha Corp., which is headquartered in Japan.

GreenWood provides integrated maintenance, operations and construction solutions designed to extend the life of critical assets, influence operational efficiencies and deliver bottom line improvements for plants and facilities throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.
