HUNTINGTON, WV -

Registered nurse Jennifer Murray has been named director of trauma services at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Murray has worked in Cabell Huntington's intensive care unit, education department and as an assistant director of nursing. 

She oversees management of trauma services for the Trauma Center at Cabell Huntington, which provides specialized trauma care for adult and children and the region's only burn trauma and obstetric trauma care.

Murray holds a master's of science in nursing with an emphasis on executive nursing administration from the University of South Alabama. She completed her bachelor's of science in nursing from Marshall University. 

Most recently, she was a critical care educator at Cabell Huntington. The hospital is a 303-bed academic medical center caring for patients from more than 29 counties in West Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio. 

The hospital, which dates to 1956, is a teaching facility affiliated with Marshall University's School of Medicine and School of Nursing.
