There are politicians and then there are elected leaders.  Senator Brooks McCabe is an elected leader.

McCabe, who announced this week that he's not running for reelection, brought a keen and cautious understanding to his post.

In an arena where bluster often trumps results, McCabe kept his head down and did some very serious and important work.

We hope who ever takes over his seat continues his legacy of putting the people first and politics second.
