CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — The West Virginia Department of Education is preparing to launch a summer meal program for students

The federal Summer Food Service Program provides meals in lower-income areas to children who don't have access to federal school breakfast or lunch programs.

The Department of Education plans to announce feeding sites Monday. These sites include schools, churches, parks, summer camps and housing complexes.
