UPDATE:

Huntington police were called to a shooting along the 1800 block of 11th avenue around 12:30 am Friday.

When police arrived, they found Joshua Lapsley with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. The victim told police that he was shot by two men somewhere in the 1900 block of 10th and 11th avenues.

The victim said that the suspects fired several shots at him for no reason. He gave officers several different versions of what happened, according to police, and he appeared to have been drinking.

After searching the area, police found no evidence of the shooting, but they found the victim's blood in his vehicle parked along the 1800 block of 11th avenue.

Lapsley's injuries didn't appear to be serious. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The Huntington Police Department is investigating.
