HUNTINGTON -

A Michigan man was sentenced to a 1 year, 4 month prison sentence Monday.

According to a press release from U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin, Ralph Oliver Mayes, Jr., 37, of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, previously pleaded guilty in March.

Officers with the Barboursville Police Department arrested Mayes for obstruction and possession of Vicoden tablets January 9, 2013.

Once Mayes was in custody and officers did a search.  They found two bags containing 33 individually wrapped bags of heroin.  Mayes told officers he intended to sell the heroin.
