Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies need your help locating 23-year-old Ayric Mack Thomas of Detroit, Michigan.

They say Thomas is sought in relation to a large amount of drugs and cash found at a residence in Cross Lanes.

According to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office,  Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an apartment on Becca Drive, near Dalewood Drive in Cross Lanes, on June 21.

Those deputies were dispatched after Metro 911 received a call about a possible domestic disturbance at that location.

Upon arrival, according to the release, they saw a male running from the scene and a female who said he was involved in the disturbance.

He was believed to have fled in a vehicle.

Deputies smelled marijuana at the apartment where the female lived, so a safety check was initiated.  While searching, they found marijuana and baggies.

A search warrant was obtained for the apartment, and deputies found more than $3000  cash inside.

The release stated that neighbors approached the deputies during the search with two plastic baggies that they found in the area where the man fled.  In them was a gray/white powdery substance.

Using field test kits they identified the substance in the baggies as heroin.  The released stated that the total weight of the heroin was 101 grams with an estimated street value of more than $40,000.

A warrant was obtained for Thomas for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
