UPDATE:

Autopsy results indicate the fatal shooting involving two young brothers in Jackson, Ohio, was an apparent homicide-suicide.

Austin Wiseman, 12, shot himself in the head with a .44 caliber handgun after shooting his half-brother Blake Campbell, 9, in the head.

It is unclear whether the initial shooting accidental or intentional. Investigators have ruled the incident a homicide-suicide.

The brothers were found in an upstairs bedroom at their grandparents' home on Wednesday, June 26.

The two boys, 12-year-old Austin Wiseman and his half-brother, 9-year-old Blake Campbell, were found shot to death in the upstairs bedroom, according to a news release from the Jackson Police Department.

As bags holding the bodies of two little boys are removed from their home near downtown Jackson, friends and neighbors look on in disbelief.

As soon as Tim Puckett and his wife heard the news, he drove here to place a cross by the home.

"I just wanted to bring it to them, and put it over on the porch, and pay my respects."

"It's a shock. It's a shock," says Jackson Police Chief Carl Eisnaugle.

Jackson Police learned the twelve-year-old and nine-year-old boys were found dead by their grand-parents this morning.

Chief Eisnaugle says the boys were found shot to death in an upstairs bedroom.

A source close to the family says the boys lived their grandparents, and that the grandparents made a trip to the pharmacy, only to return and find the boys dead.

It's still unclear who shot them.

"The hard fact is they're dead, which is such a big shame," says neighbor, Larry Osborne, as he searches for words. Well. I don't know. Things. I don't know. It's really rough."

Neighbors say they will eventually explain this to their children, but right now, all they want to do is hug them.

Police plan to release more details in the coming days.
