South Charleston business hosts ecycling event

Posted: Updated:

We all have old electronics just sitting around our house or garage. An event on Friday gave people a way to safely recycle these used items.

Computers, video game consoles, batteries, and cell phones were just some of the items people could drop off at the e-cycle event at the South Charleston Recreation Center parking lot.

The event, which usually just happens once a year, is designed to keep electronics out of the garbage and the public safe.

"It's important that you see that your electronics and hard drive are properly disposed of and part of that is disposing of the hard drive, that data that's on them," said Dan Tate, owner of Associated Systems Professionals.

Bluegrass e-cycle provided the recycling services.
