UPDATE:

The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office is investigating a two-vehicle crash on West Washington Street on Tuesday evening.

Deputies said the two vehicles collided head on.  Three people had to be cut from the vehicles and taken to nearby hospitals.  Witnesses at the scene said that it looked like one of the vehicles may have crossed the center line.

A strong storm moved through the Kanawha Valley on Tuesday evening, leaving a wake of car crashes and damage in its path.

A tree was reported down in Jefferson just before 7 p.m., blocking all lanes of Route 60.

Kanawha County emergency dispatchers also took calls for a two-vehicle collision on West Washington Street.

Another crash involving multiple vehicles was reported on Interstate 64 at the Cross Lanes exit. These were just two of the incidents among numerous accidents between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
