Gasoline prices in WV for July 4th up from last year

    A tractor trailer is blocking part of Route 2. The road is closed until further notice. Drivers heading in both direction are being asked to use the Big Ben Bowen Highway connector by Target to get around.

People who travel by car will find their trip through West Virginia this holiday weekend a little more expensive than it was a year ago, but less so than last month.

According to AAA, gasoline prices in major West Virginia cities are higher than a year ago but still lower than last month. The following prices were taken from the AAA website. They list average prices per market this week, last month and a year ago.
