Mom found with needle in arm in Huntington grocery store

HUNTINGTON, WV -

A mom was arrested after detectives say she was found lying in the floor of a local grocery store bathroom with a needle in her arm. 

Kayla Marie Karr, 25, of Huntington is charged with felony child neglect creating risk of injury, according to court documents. 

Detectives with the Huntington Police Department say Karr's 4-month-old daughter was found in her infant carrier next to Karr in the floor of the bathroom of Foodfair on Seventh Avenue in Huntington Thursday. 

Detectives say Karr was unresponsive and shaking when they found her.  Authorities have ascertained Karr was using heroin. 

Karr was taken to the Western Regional Jail.  Her bail was set at $25,000.  Karr is facing up to five years in prison if convicted.
