Posted: Updated:

UPDATE:

A new Charleston restaurant is in jeopardy of closing down after a drive-by shooting over the weekend.

Charleston Police said Ms. Sylvia's Sandwich Shop and Pool Tables has been a nuisance since it opened a few months ago.

Things escalated over the weekend when 24-year-old Terrance Wilson was shot in the shoulder while leaving the restaurant.

Wilson has since been discharged from Charleston Area Medical Center.

Police arrested the owners on Sunday.  Emma Laughlin-McNeal and Rodney Armstrong have both been charged with operating without a liquor license, a misdemeanor.

Police executed a search warrant at the business on Sunday.  They confiscated truck loads of alcohol and other items.  Police said the restaurant does not have a liquor permit.

The owners have since bailed out of jail.  The future of the restaurant is unclear.

The shooter is still on the loose.  Call the Charleston Police Detective Division if you have any information at 304-348-6480.
