CLARKSBURG, WV (AP) — Starting Wednesday, adults and juveniles who attended drug courts will graduate from three separate programs this week in West Virginia.

The three drug courts are among 36 that operate in the state. They are intensive supervision programs. For juveniles, they are intended to lead them down a path away from addiction.

For adults, drug courts are for those already addicted. Participants complete a treatment program and are required to attend group or individual counseling.

The graduations begin Wednesday for juveniles at the Harrison County Drug Court in Clarksburg and for adults and juveniles in the Boone County Drug Court. Friday, an adult graduation will be conducted in Parkersburg.
