A storm is moving through the Kanawha Valley, bringing with it heavy rain, strong winds and hail.

Emergency dispatchers report a number of accidents across the area. A flash Flood Warning was issued for Boone, Jackson, Kanawha, Putnam and Roane County in WV until 9:45 p.m.

"Just in the short term, we want people to be careful in light of the heavy downpours and the hail. You're likely to see high water on the roadways and ponding. It's best to stay put until it passes," said StormTracker 13 Chief Meteorologist Spencer Adkins.
