HUNTINGTON, WV -

A Huntington man spent the weekend in jail after officers say he broke into someone's house while they were sleeping.

Christopher L. Snead, 26, of Huntington broke into a Seventh Avenue residence, Friday, July 12, by pushing in a piece of glass in the front door and unlocking the lock chain, according to court documents.

The person who lives in the home woke up and caught Snead.

Snead fled on foot to his girlfriend's house before being found by officers with the Huntington Police Department.

Snead is charged burglary. He was taken to Western Regional Jail and faces up to 15 years in prison.
