Soon thousands of children will be heading back to the classroom. The Huntington Area Food Bank is preparing to send them back with the food and supplies they need to get a jump on the new school year.

"Pack the BackPack" night will be July 25 as part of 93.7 the Dawg's Summer Concert Series at Pullman Square in Huntington.

The Carpenter Ants and Huntington Area Food Bank's own Sasha Collete will be performing. It's an opportunity to get out and enjoy the community, according to organizers, plus help hungry children across the region at the same time.

The food bank will have collection barrels set up for people to drop off items starting at 6 p.m. on July 25 beside the stage.
