UPDATE: Glasgow police moving forward with investigation into town councilman

Posted: Updated:

Last week I received multiple calls from residents of Glasgow, asking us to look into an investigation regarding town councilman Travis Hager.

Police Chief Jeff Stevens said the police department was involved in a full-scale investigation in regard to Councilman Hager.

Monday was the first city council meeting since news of the investigation went public.

Hager was not present at the meeting.

Mayor Chuck Armstrong said Hager has not been present for the last two meetings.

Glasgow Fire Chief Marty Blankenship brought the issue up at the end of the council meeting.   Multiple members of the council admitted they were not aware of an investigation.

That's when Chief Stevens told the council about the circumstances.

Stevens said they are not releasing the allegations made against Hager this early in the investigation but they are making some headway.

The mayor said Hager is innocent until proven guilty, and until then, he will remain a member of city council.

I have reached out to Hager on multiple occasions.  He has neither answered nor returned calls.
