Kentucky State Police charge 2 suspects in Pike County bank robbery

Two suspects are charged with an armed robbery at the US Bank in Pike County, Kentucky.

State Police received a call on Friday, July 19, that the bank in Meta had been robbed. Troopers responded to the scene and contacted bank employees. They said that two men entered the bank wearing dark colored bandanas, brandished a firearm and demanded money and then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The two men were located about one half mile from the scene and taken into custody.

Anthony D. Roberts, 28, Pikeville, was arrested and charged with one count of robbery. He's being held in the Pike County Detention Center.

Anthony John Puett, 29, of Dorton, was also arrested and charged with robbery. He too is being held in the Pike County Detention Center.
