A Carter County woman is in trouble after Kentucky State Troopers say she racked up more than 100 counts of theft and forgery.

Melissa Black of Olive Hill, KY with 55 counts of theft taking more than $500 and 54 counts second degree forgery.

Black netted more than $75,000 from the thefts and forgeries according to a news release from Kentucky State Police. Troopers say the money came from Northeast Kentucky Community Action Agency, which helps low income Kentuckians with things like education grants.

Some of the thefts and forged checks ranged from a few hundred to nearly $3,000.  Black was taken Carter County Detention Center.
