A man accused of escaping home confinement pleaded not guilty.

Brett Cook remains in jail on other charges.

UPDATE:

Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies found Charles Brett Cook at a home on Falcon Drive, just north of Charleston Tuesday. He was arrested for violating the terms of his home confinement sentence, according to a press release.

A man is leading police on a chase in Kanawha County after they attempted to arrest him.

Charles Brett Cook, 29, of Sissonville was on home confinement when a member of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office attempted to arrest him for absconding from home confinement.

Cook fled from the officer into the woods near Walker Drive in Sissonville.  Cook was originally on home confinement for breaking and entering and transferring and receiving stolen property.
